A Botswana-based enterprise. A Motswana house for objects, rooms and brands that have to live in this climate. Twelve capabilities under one roof. The MD still signs the page.
GK Designs (Pty) Ltd is a Botswana-based enterprise. The studio sits at Plot 23485, Phase 4, Gaborone. We interpret a brief into considered, buildable design — object, interior, brand and media — end to end: research, concept, drawings, materials, models, prototypes, intellectual-property support and launch.
Founded by designer Goitseone Ketlhalefile. Incorporated 2006. Public practice from 2012. 100% Motswana owned. A Botswana-based enterprise — that is the whole address.
“I believe that for anything to be sustainable, innovation has to take place. GK Designs exists to turn bold ideas into objects, spaces and brands Botswana can be proud of.”— Goitseone Ketlhalefile, Managing Director
The profile still lists all twelve. The mouth says three — so a lodge, a factory or a school knows which door to knock.

Objects →Interior, 3D plans, furniture restore, landscape sense. Gaborone heat, Gaborone light. Not the cheapest tiler.
Rooms →Brand, graphic, GK Design Media. Best as a monthly retainer — WhatsApp queue, invoice on the 1st.
Start a queue →Gaborone already has flyer shops and fit-out shops. This house will sit with a factory, restore a room, and keep a brand on a monthly queue. The MD still signs. A paid audit is the look before the job — not a free pitch.

A mobile shampooing unit that brings the salon experience home. A compact, ergonomic trolley concept with basin, water management and an adjustable headrest — designed for mobile stylists, hospitality rooms and home care.

An everyday carry piece built from upcycled leather off-cuts, proving that a great accessory can be grown from another object's remains. Designed to scale with local craft partners.

Two early research projects out of the studio: a household device that reduces excess fluoride from drinking water (developed with the Department of Chemistry and Botswana Water Affairs), and a child's entertainer that gathers sunlight and disperses it into soft rainbow patterns around a room.
Most studios hand you a finished brand, then expect another agency to film it. We keep both in-house. That means a brand, an interior, a product — all shot the way they were designed and edited the way they were intended to be seen.

Studio-generated studies for climate-aware rooms and outdoor living — used in the Folio profile and hospitality work. They sit beside the Facebook record, not instead of it.
A PDF in a chat goes stale. This address is where GK Designs lives when someone Googles the studio, when a tender asks for a company profile, and when a lodge wants to WhatsApp a brief at 21:00.
A public face in red, black and white — not a Facebook tab. Clients, banks and partners can find Plot 23485, the MD, and the work without asking twice.

Botswana still decides on WhatsApp, referrals and a meeting. Every page ends there. There is no cart. There is a number: +267 71 798 128.
A client can open Interior, Packaging or Media on its own — then print that one page. The website is the catalogue. The profile is the summary.
Seven digital goods priced in Pula. Licence by email. Later: yearly packs and retainers. The system is here so we do not build another one.
A lodge or a brand can pay a fixed amount each month for a queue of work. The site takes the brief. WhatsApp confirms. Invoice on the 1st. Not a foreign checkout.

Industrial Designer · IT Educator · Visual Artist · Beauty Therapist — and the Managing Director who still keeps a hand on the pencil.
Goitseone founded GK Designs in 2012 after a Bachelor of Design in Industrial Design from the University of Botswana, where she was active in the Design Clinic and Engineers Society and developed the Mobi-styler prototype that would later be trademark-registered, design-registered and patent-filed.
Before the studio, she spent seven years as a middle manager, adding depth in corporate governance, occupational health & safety, ergonomics and brand management — disciplines that quietly shape how the studio runs and how its work is built today. She spent an attachment at Sasa Interiors (furniture layouts, floor plans, colour schemes, lighting) and at the Botswana Bureau of Standards quality-testing a range of products.
Earlier, with the University of Botswana and Molepolole College of Education, she earned a Diploma in Secondary Education (Design & Technology with Computer Education), an A+ in PC Technologies at Damelin, and developed a household fluoride-reduction concept with the Department of Chemistry and Botswana Water Affairs. She is also a qualified Beauty Therapist — the discipline that originally inspired the Mobi-styler concept's ergonomic thinking.
Stakeholder interviews, on-site visits, market and material research. We listen before we draw.
A short, written strategy: goals, audience, constraints, deliverables, budget envelope, milestones.
Concepts, sketches, CAD, moodboards, prototypes — reviewed at every gate with stakeholders.
Engineering, sampling, supplier sourcing, production, IP registration support where relevant.
Install, launch, document, train. A clean handover, plus a written care and growth plan.
Design, media and project management under one roof. Fewer handoffs, fewer surprises, better work.
Climate-aware materials, local craft networks, and the pricing and pragmatism of a Gaborone studio familiar with the region.
We stay small enough to personally oversee quality. The MD still reviews every deliverable before it leaves the studio.
Twelve years of practice in protecting design work — trademarks, industrial design rights and patents we file seriously.
Reclaimed and local materials, low-waste patterning, water- and energy-aware specifications wherever possible.
Because we shoot our own work, every brand ships with the assets it needs to actually launch.
Tell us what you're trying to build. Attach references if you have them. We'll come back with questions, costs and the next gate.
